Meet Gord, our water taxi Captain, at Secret Beach Marina. Once aboard, you will enjoy a 20 minute ride through the waterways of Barkley Sound.

 

Water Taxi Schedule

Leave the lodge daily - 9:30 am

Secret Beach Departure - 10:15 am or 4 pm (Campers must be on the 10:15 am)

Due to road construction, please leave Port Alberni by 8:00 am to make the 10:15 or 2:00 pm to make the 4:00 scheduled departure. Text Gord (250-720-7358) with your last name to let him know you are on your way.

*If you would like water taxi service outside of scheduled times or to the Broken Group Islands please look at our Water Taxi Rates page and call Gord at 250.720.7358, to make arrangements.

*Hwy 4 is closed for construction between 11 am and 3 pm.

The early departure from the lodge ensures that guests and campers will be able to get from the lodge and through the construction zone prior to its closure.

Directions

FROM NANAIMO

Head north from Nanaimo on Highway 19, then turn off onto Highway 4 west to Port Alberni. Continue on the highway through Port Alberni and travel 80km until you reach Toquaht Bay Road and turn left. Secret Beach will be on your right hand side after 13 kilometres of gravel road.

FROM UCLUELET

Head northwest on Peninsula Rd. to leave town, and stay on the highway for 8 kilometers. When you arrive at the Tofino/Ucluelet junction, veer right to stay on Highway 4 heading towards Port Alberni.  Follow Highway 4 for 12 kilometers, then turn right onto the Toquaht Bay gravel road. Secret Beach will be on your right hand side after 13 kilometres of gravel road.

FROM TOFINO

Follow the highway out of town, and drive for about 40 kilometers. When you arrive at the Tofino/Ucluelet junction, turn left onto Highway 4 heading towards Port Alberni.  Follow Highway 4 for 12 kilometers, then turn right onto the Toquaht Bay gravel road. Secret Beach will be on your right hand side after 13 kilometres of gravel road.
